by Melissa Bahen

Hi Everybody! I?m Melissa from Lulu the Baker, and I?m thrilled to be a new contributor on Celebrations At Home. For my first post, I wanted to share a quick, easy party favor idea I used for a Strawberry Baby Shower I threw at the beginning of the summer.

Materials and Tools: 6? wooden garden stakes; drill and 1/8? drill bit; black ink pad; alphabet stamp set (or a ?thank you? stamp); 1/8? ribbon; small garden plants in small, biodegradable peat pots* or house plants in small terra cotta pots

Sources: 6? stakes; peat pots; stamps, ink, and ribbon from Michael?s; plants from the local nursery

*I chose inexpensive peat pots for both my strawberry plants in June and the English lavender pictured above. That way, the entire pot can just go straight in the ground without any transplanting! If you want to use house plants in your party favors instead of garden plants, terra cotta pots or ceramic pots would be perfect!
